About this grant

Awards one-time grants for community-driven outdoor recreation initiatives that expand access to parks, trails, and waterways, increase participation in outdoor activities, and foster a more inclusive outdoor culture. Projects must have a clear outdoor component and demonstrate public benefit through outdoor recreation. Fiscal sponsorships are eligible and 501(c)(3) status is not required.

Written proposal (maximum 5,000 characters) or video proposal (maximum 3 minutes)
Optional: storyboard or visual representation
Optional: letter of recommendation

Eligibility

Projects/programs must directly support outdoor recreation
Projects/programs must have a clear and primary outdoor component; indoor-only programs are not eligible
Applicants must be based in the Greater St. Louis bi-state region (specified Missouri and Illinois counties)
501(c)(3) status is not required; individuals may not apply for personal benefit
Applicants must demonstrate a clear public benefit through outdoor recreation
Fiscal sponsorships are eligible
The applicant organization or project/program must have an annual income of $300,000 or less
Grant funds may not be used for political advocacy, fundraising, lobbying, litigation, or terrorist activities
