About this grant

Supports projects that bring professional artists and culture bearers into educational settings to lead arts programming with youth ages 4-21. Projects may involve any arts discipline including theater, dance, music, visual arts, media arts, literary arts, and folk arts, with a focus on historically marginalized and minoritized youth. Funded projects take place at schools, community centers, libraries, and other accessible locations.

How to apply

Letter of Intent (accepted September 28 – November 20, 2026)
Full application (due February 24, 2027)
Project budget including artist fees, supplies, transportation, marketing, and staff time
Demonstration of need for the project in the school or community
Final report due thirty days after project completion, no later than July 31, 2028

Eligibility

Must be a Colorado-based nonprofit organization or a PK-12 school
School applicants must engage an artist or arts organization as a partner
Organizational applicants must be engaged with a school partner or have a strong history of working with youth
Must be registered with Colorado Secretary of State with an address in Colorado
Must have a Colorado-based staff person actively engaged in the project
Individual artists are not eligible to apply
Fiscal sponsorship is not accepted
Programs may not charge a fee to participants
