Grant for Arts and Culture Nonprofits

• Grants ranging from $30,000 per year to up to $350,000 total for terms up to two years
• $3.5 million total available through this RFP
• At least $1 million reserved for organizations led by individuals from historically excluded groups

• Online application submitted through the Grants Portal
• Project description with curatorial premise
• Demonstration of informed understanding of audience/intended beneficiaries
• Explanation of how work will improve quality of life for Greater Philadelphia residents
• Outline of roles and responsibilities of partnership organizations
• Budget narrative
• Optional letters of commitment from key partners

• Annual operating expenses less than $750,000
• Project must create a publicly accessible arts and culture experience
• Intended beneficiaries must be primarily adults or multi-generational
• Project conception, design, and implementation must be led by an artist or artistic team
• Project must take place in Philadelphia, Camden NJ, or Bucks, Chester, Delaware, or Montgomery counties
• Projects focused on arts learning for youth are not eligible
• The Foundation will not fund a program/project currently supported through a William Penn Foundation grant
• Organizations not primarily arts and culture organizations must have a history of high-quality artistic programming and appropriate artistic staff
