About this grant

Provides competitive funding to repower or replace older locomotives, marine vessels, stationary equipment, and non-road equipment to reduce nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions in Texas. Applicants may request up to 80% of the incremental cost of replacement equipment, with grant amounts capped by cost-per-ton of NOx emissions reduced. Additional funding is available for onsite refueling infrastructure for alternative fuel equipment.

Eligibility

Applicant must be an individual, state or local government, corporation, or any other legal entity
Project must replace or repower locomotives, marine vessels, stationary equipment, or select non-road equipment
Equipment must be located in eligible Texas counties
Non-road equipment types included in the Rebate Grants program are not eligible during this grant round
Grant amount cannot exceed 80% of the incremental cost of replacement equipment
Grant amounts cannot exceed the cost per ton (CPT) of NOx emissions reduced: $35,000 for non-road/stationary, $20,000 for marine vessels, $20,000 for locomotives
