About this grant

Funds nonprofit organizations in Utah working to relieve suffering, instill hope, and build self-reliance among vulnerable populations. Priority initiatives include workforce development for refugees and immigrants, transitional housing for domestic violence victims and homeless youth, social worker workforce expansion, pre- and post-homeless community support, and case manager support for food pantries. Projects must demonstrate outcome tracking, coordination with community partners, and a commitment to promoting long-term self-reliance.

What you get

Cash and/or commodity donations up to approximately 20% of total project costs
One-year project cycle with up to 12 months to complete the project
Collaboration and coordination support with community partners

How to apply

Project proposal submitted via online form
Demonstrated history of outcome tracking on other humanitarian projects
Demonstrated history of coordinating with community partners
Final impact report with outcomes required upon project completion

Eligibility

Must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
Must operate within the Utah Area
Must have a track record of community service or established outreach programs
Must serve Utah Area residents
Must demonstrate broad community impact and a clear benefit to a defined population
Must be willing to participate in a post-project review conducted by a third-party firm
Must have sustainable operational funding secured through sources other than the Church (Utah Area funding up to ~20% of total project costs)
