About this grant

Supports public humanities programming designed for general audiences, including book discussions, lectures, exhibits, conferences, radio and video productions, and teacher training. Projects must incorporate humanities scholarship and be directed at the general public rather than classroom settings. Applicants must collaborate closely with a qualified humanities scholar.

Letter of support from Principal Humanities Scholar
Budget using KH budget template showing 1:1 cost share
Active SAM.gov registration with UEI

Eligibility

Registered Kentucky nonprofit organization, institution, or group
Active SAM.gov registration in good status
Has a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) provided in SAM.gov
Final application submitted at least eight weeks before the start of the grant award period
Project must be Kentucky-based or primarily serve Kentucky residents
Project must be humanities-based and directed primarily at the general public
Project must receive guidance from a Principal Humanities Scholar with an active role in design and execution
Project must generate a 1:1 cost share match for awarded grant funds
