Emergency Grant for Food Access and Housing Nonprofits

• One-time emergency grant of $2,500 to $20,000 depending on need
• Grant period not to exceed one year
• $250,000 total available for this program in 2026

• No GranteeView registration required

• Must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, government entity, educational institution, or group with an eligible fiscal sponsor
• Organization can only receive one Community Emergency grant at a time and must wait a full calendar year before being eligible for another
• Priority given to organizations that have not received a grant from this program in the last 18 months
• Must be a Food Access or Housing organization serving low-income children, youth, families, and/or older adults
• Must be located within and serving residents of Minnesota, with preference for East Metro or Greater Minnesota
• Must be filling an unexpected emergency financial gap in response to natural/environmental disasters or unexpected maintenance or repairs
• Organizations exclusively serving Minneapolis and the surrounding West Metro area are not eligible
• Proposals to replace a loss in government funding are not accepted
