About this grant
Provides fast-track emergency funding to cultural institutions such as archives, museums, libraries, historic sites, and colleges in the wake of federally declared natural disasters. Grants are used to stabilize collections, conserve damaged items and artifacts, and purchase materials to prevent further damage from mold, water, or other environmental hazards. Supplemental funding is also available to state and jurisdictional humanities councils to regrant and coordinate local disaster response.
