About this grant

Funds new construction, retrofits, and upgrades of Community Resilience Center facilities that serve as emergency shelters and resource hubs during climate and other disasters. Also supports campus amenities, community resilience services and programs, and partner sites that build social cohesion and year-round community preparedness. Applications must include at least two partners, with at least one being a community-based organization.

Eligibility

Lead Applicant must be based in California
Project Area, CRC Facility, Campus Amenities, Partner Sites, and programs must be located in California
Eligible applicants include California Native American Tribes, tribally-owned nonprofits, IRC 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organizations, public agencies, local agencies, joint powers authorities, special districts, public utilities, local publicly owned utilities, and mutual water companies
Application must include at least two Partners
At least one Partner must be a community-based organization (CBO) if the Lead Applicant is not already a CBO
Lead Applicant and Partners must submit a signed Collaborative Governance Worksheet and letters of commitment at application
