About this grant

Supports the intersection of economic development in New Mexico's food and agricultural supply chain with increased food security. The program invests in food retailers, processors, distributors, producers, and climate-smart pre-production projects to expand healthy food access, create jobs, and strengthen regional agricultural networks. Eligible recipients include businesses, cooperatives, nonprofits, tribes, and small farmers operating in New Mexico.

What you get

Tiered awards of $50,000, $100,000, or $150,000
Alternative opportunity of up to $20,000 plus 10 hours of technical assistance

How to apply

Eligibility

Must be a New Mexico-based political subdivision, Native American Tribe or Pueblo, for-profit business, cooperatively owned business, or tax-exempt nonprofit
Small farmers and ranchers must have gross cash farm income under $250,000 and be NM Grown Approved Suppliers (or in the process of obtaining certification)
Food banks and charitable food operations are eligible if their projects include purchasing food from New Mexico producers
