About this grant

Supports organizations that advance youth leadership development, civic engagement, and organizing among youth ages 14 to 22 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Funded projects must address at least one of six youth-identified community health priorities: substance use, transportation, mental health, community violence, youth jobs/economic security, and housing. Awards are selected by a Youth Investment Council comprised of New Bedford youth.

Must address at least one of six youth-identified community health priorities
Requested grant funds per year may not exceed 50 percent of the applicant organization's total annual operating budget
Each organization must submit a separate application
