About this grant

Supports individuals, nonprofits, and Government of Guam agencies developing new or enhancing existing tourism events, experiences, and programs across cultural, eco, edu, health and wellness, and sports tourism. Projects must align with Guam's tourism enrichment strategy and contribute to visitor attraction, resident quality of life, and economic diversification. Funded activities can range from one-day events to weeklong festivals to ongoing programs.

What you get

Maximum grant award of $10,000
75% of approved funds disbursed within the week of the project event
25% retained for final payment upon fulfillment of agreement terms

GVB Vendor Registration
Form W9
Detailed project budget following the attached sample budget sheet
Budget form from previous event/project, if applicable
Proof of matching funds (if 1:1 match required), or written waiver request

Eligibility

Must be an individual, Government of Guam agency, component of a Government of Guam agency, or bona fide non-profit organization
Project must support one of the Target Market Areas: cultural tourism, eco-tourism, edu-tourism, health and wellness tourism, sports tourism, or local events
Must provide current Business License or Certificate of Exemption from Business License
Must provide GVB Vendor Registration and Form W9
Application must score 70 points or higher to be deemed eligible
Only one proposal/application per applicant will be accepted
Applicants receiving appropriations from the Tourist Attraction Fund in the same fiscal year are not eligible
Funds may not be used for construction, capital improvements, or business/organizational start-up plans
