Grant for Southern California Nonprofits Serving Youth and Underserved Communities

• Multi-year grant award of $100,000 or more
• Support for projects in arts, education, health, and civic services

• IRS determination letter demonstrating 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status
• California FTB letter demonstrating exemption from California State Franchise or Income Tax (if located in California)
• Current full, certified, audited financial statements
• Most recently filed complete Form 990 or Form 990-PF
• Declaration of Status (for government units without IRS determination letter)

• Organization must be headquartered in Southern California, or be a national/statewide organization with an independent affiliate, local chapter, or office in Southern California
• Projects must benefit communities within Los Angeles County
• Must provide IRS determination letter demonstrating 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status
• Must provide current full, certified, audited financial statements (at least two consecutive years if in existence less than five years)
• Must provide most recently filed complete Form 990 (or Form 990-PF for exempt operating foundations)
• Requests must be at least $100,000
• Only multi-year grants will be considered
• In collaborative projects, lead institution must be identified and all members must meet eligibility requirements
