About this grant

Funds built environment planning and design projects that improve access to physical activity within Oklahoma communities. Eligible projects include feasibility studies, streetscape designs, master plans, trail plans, and pedestrian safety plans across three funding tracks: parks and open spaces, safe routes to schools/grocery stores/parks, and PreK-12 school-based projects. Projects must be launch-ready, site-specific, community-supported, and may not include construction costs.

What you get

Up to $150,000 per year for up to 12 months
Cooperative agreement covering July 1, 2027 – June 30, 2028
Up to 20% of total budget may be designated as contingency funds
Indirect/overhead costs allowable up to 15% of total award

Staffing plan (Attachment F – TSET Built Environment Grant Staffing Table Template)
Signed and dated tobacco-free policy meeting minimum requirements
Signed and dated workplace wellness policy
Attachment C – Non-Acceptance of Tobacco Funds Certification
Data demonstrating community need and buy-in
Strategy for promoting project completion and public availability

Eligibility

Must have a brick-and-mortar office located in Oklahoma
Project must be carried out on property owned by the applicant at time of application
Project site must be accessible to the public during reasonable usage hours
Organization must be incorporated and in good standing with the Oklahoma Secretary of State and Oklahoma Tax Commission
Organization must not receive funds from or benefit from tobacco sales
Must submit signed tobacco-free policy meeting minimum TSET requirements
Must submit signed workplace wellness policy
Project must be launch-ready (able to begin within 75 days of grant start date)
Project must serve populations within Oklahoma only
