About this grant

Funds a single statewide nonprofit partner to deliver the Sources of Strength evidence-based suicide prevention program in New York high schools. The selected organization will onboard schools, train student peer leaders and adult advisors, provide technical assistance, support program fidelity and sustainability, and report implementation data. The program targets grades 9–12 across New York State with a focus on culturally responsive outreach to populations disproportionately affected by suicide.

Eligibility

Must be a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit agency
Must be located and doing business in New York State
Must be registered and prequalified in the Statewide Financial System (SFS) before submission
Must provide notice of intent to the applicable Local Governmental Unit with proof included in the application
Must have or establish access to certified Sources of Strength trainers
Must demonstrate statewide school-recruitment and implementation capacity
Must be capable of onboarding at least five new secondary schools per year
