About this grant

Supports organizations expanding educational opportunities for American Indian youth up to age 25. Funds initiatives that empower Indigenous communities, foster academic achievement, and address systemic barriers to education, including culturally based programs and drug/alcohol rehabilitation. Applicants must have tribal recognition from the U.S. Department of the Interior.

Financial statement covering most recent fiscal year (expenses and income sources)
Complete list of funds currently available and grantors
Current year organizational budget
Project budget (if requesting project support)
Up to 2 letters of recommendation (optional)

Eligibility

Must have tribal recognition from the U.S. Department of the Interior's Office of Federal Acknowledgment
Must be a 501(c)(3) corporation or equivalent tax-exempt entity, or work with a certified not-for-profit fiscal conduit
Project must demonstrate a clear impact on American Indian youth (up to age 25) and communities
Must align with The Riverside Church's mission
Must address needs related to access to education, drugs/alcohol rehabilitation, and culturally based programs
Must serve individuals and communities without regard to religious affiliation
Grant requests must be $10,000 or less
