About this grant

Supports community-led organizations working at the intersection of climate, justice, and clean energy in Minnesota and surrounding Indigenous Nations. Prioritizes nonprofits with leadership reflective of the populations they serve and shared lived experiences with those most impacted by climate change. Awards one-year general operating support grants to organizations explicitly addressing carbon reduction and community equity.

One-year general operating support grant of approximately $15,000–$25,000
Virtual site visit (approximately 45 minutes) between March and April
Grant decision and payment between May and June

Climate and/or environmental objectives must be part of the organization's priorities

Annual budget of less than approximately $1 million
Must be located in or serve Minnesota and/or Indigenous Nations sharing the same geography
