About this grant

Supports community-oriented public humanities programs that help audiences understand and appreciate human history, culture, values, and beliefs. Eligible projects include small exhibitions, community dialogues, local history tours, digital learning tools, K-12 education programs, and community reads. Programs must be open to the general public and free or low-cost to attend.

Eligibility

Project must be open to the general public
Program must be free or low-cost to attend
Project must be interpretive and based in the humanities
Applicant must demonstrate matching funds of at least the same amount as the grant request
Applicant organization must be in compliance with any previously awarded Connecticut Humanities grants
Project Director and Grant Administrator cannot be the same person
