About this grant

Supports programs promoting integral ecology and sustainability in line with Pope Francis' Laudato Si' encyclical and the Laudato Si' Action Platform goals. Eligible projects may address environmental stewardship, ecological education, environmental justice, community resilience, or advocacy for creation care. Funding is intended for Catholic organizations and ministries affiliated with the Diocese of St. Augustine.

How to apply

Completed grant application form
Letter of support on official letterhead from pastor, diocesan director, or principal
Project/program budget with itemized expenses
Quotes or proposals for any project/program expenses, if applicable
Description of project/program aligned with Laudato Si' goals and implementation strategies
Evaluation plan including measurable outcomes and data collection methods
Sustainability plan for continuing the project/program after the grant period

Eligibility

Must be an organization or associated ministry listed in the Official Catholic Directory for the Diocese of St. Augustine, or a project/program operated under the auspices of the Bishop of St. Augustine
Application must be accompanied by a letter of support from pastor, diocesan director, or principal on official letterhead
Project/program must align with at least one of the seven goals of the Laudato Si' Action Platform of the Vatican
Project/program must use at least one of the four listed implementation strategies
Application must be received by December 15, 2026
Application must be signed and complete
