About this grant

Supports structured collaborations among academic researchers, healthcare providers, and community partners to develop and conduct research addressing identified health priorities in Puerto Rico. Projects may include exploratory and pilot studies, feasibility assessments, community-engaged research, health services research, and intervention development. The program promotes meaningful community engagement, strengthens sustainable partnerships, and supports preliminary evidence generation.

Eligibility

The Project Lead (PL) must be a faculty member at one of the Alliance partner institutions (UPR, UCC, or PHSU)
At least 2 institutions must be involved; participation from all three is preferred
At least 1 non-academic partner from Puerto Rico is required
Investigators at all career stages are welcome
Each project must demonstrate meaningful collaboration and clearly defined responsibilities
