Disaster Relief Grant for Nonprofits and Community Organizations

• Grants ranging from $25,000 to $100,000
• Cost reimbursement for approved and documented expenditures within the grant period (December 1, 2026 – November 30, 2027)
• Advance payment of up to 20% of the FDF award available upon approval

• Complete electronic application submitted in Blackbaud by 5:00 p.m. on October 16, 2026
• Budget on the Volunteer Florida Foundation Budget Template
• Agreement and Certification Form
• Board of Directors List
• IRS Determination Letter verifying 501(c)(3) status
• Organization's Annual Budget
• Recent W9 (on the 2024 Template)
• Most recent financial statements or two years of audits with management letter

• Must provide disaster recovery assistance and services in geographic areas impacted by Hurricanes Helene or Milton
• Must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, long-term recovery organization, faith-based or community organization, municipality or local government acting as fiscal agent, or organization using a qualifying fiscal agent
• Must serve clients with proof of disaster-related needs caused by Hurricanes Helene and/or Milton
• Must propose a project clearly addressing disaster recovery needs from Hurricanes Helene and/or Milton
• Projects must demonstrate measurable outcomes and coordination with local recovery partners
• Must have a system in place for utilizing and supporting volunteers
• Previous grant recipients must have completed all close-out paperwork for prior grants
• Current grant recipients must have expended at least 75% of prior grant funding before application submission
