About this grant

This program strengthens recovery communities by expanding access to recovery support services, including peer recovery support services, for individuals living with substance use disorders and co-occurring substance use and mental disorders. It funds organizations to build and sustain recovery support infrastructure for people in or seeking recovery. Awards are made over a five-year project period.

NOFO application forms and resources as specified in the FY 2026 SAMHSA NOFO Application Guide
Public Health System Impact Statement (PHSIS) submitted to appropriate State and local health agencies

Eligibility

Must be a domestic public or private non-profit entity
Faith-based organizations are eligible
Must comply with E.O. 12372 if their state participates in intergovernmental review
Must send Public Health System Impact Statement (PHSIS) to appropriate State and local health agencies by application deadline
Proposed budgets cannot exceed $300,000 in total costs (direct and indirect) in any year of the proposed project
