About this grant

Supports the completion or partial completion of NIH research grants focused on abortion and/or contraception in the US that were terminated after January 20, 2025. Funding is intended to ensure that disrupted research efforts still achieve their intended scientific and public health impact. Awards are made to tax-exempt organizations on behalf of a named principal investigator.

Proof of tax-exempt status determination letter

Eligibility

Must be a tax-exempt organization applying on behalf of a named principal investigator
Applicant must be the named PI of the terminated NIH grant
NIH grant must have been terminated after January 20, 2025
Research must be focused on abortion and/or contraception in the US
Eligible grant types include NIH R series and K series grants
Terminated grants from other federally-funded agencies considered on a case-by-case basis if peer-reviewed
Proposed work must be completable within 24 months
Budget must not exceed $100,000
