About this opportunity
This foundation is seeking technologists worldwide who are building AI systems to strengthen democracy. This 2026 incubator program will fund 10 projects for 12 months, supporting initiatives that use AI to improve information quality, institutional transparency, and civic space. Eligible projects must be beyond the prototype stage, with AI as a core capability, and demonstrate real-world use. In addition to funding, participants receive mentorship, skills workshops, network access, and opportunities to pitch at Mozilla Festival. The strongest projects may be considered for additional funding. Applicants must commit to active participation and public reporting, and projects must not engage in political campaigning.
