This grant supports 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in Illinois and California (especially Long Beach) that provide direct financial assistance to individuals in genuine need, where public welfare or assistance is inadequate or unavailable. Grants must be used solely for direct aid to individuals, not for administrative or other expenses. Applications are accepted year-round, with an annual review deadline of April 1.
Eligibility requirements
Organizations must qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Organizations must provide direct financial help to persons in need.
Organizations must operate in Illinois or California (particularly the Long Beach area).
No grants to educational or religious organizations, except the Salvation Army.
No grants to individuals.
